Snow day!!

What do you do on a snow day? Well, if you live in the south, as I do, you take the day off. I know, most people think that's ludicrous but that's how we roll. Or stay put, as the case may be.

I think this is the biggest snow I have seen without previous snow for it to lay on. Depending on where you measure, it was between 6-8 inches. Schools are closed, and my job actually shut down thirds and delayed days by four hours! But I stayed out the whole day.

Here are some pictures of the fun!

This is my teenager about to get creamed by her daddy!

Headed up the hill...

The buried tricycle...

After we came inside, we did make snow cream. The kids loved it! I began to work on my little project this snow day.

This has been a labor of love, and it still needs its borders. It was a mystery quilt along sponsored by love bug studios.  I will post another picture once I get the top finished.

Hope everyone had a great day! It was a glorious family day for us in the middle of the week!

Thanks to Trisha

Do you ever watch food network out of boredom and get a little hungry? Ok maybe a lot hungry?

I was watching Trisha Yearwood cooking with Wendy Williams this morning and they made banana pudding. Yummy!

I haven't had banana pudding since I was working third shift and one of my coworkers made some and brought it to me. My darling husband hates bananas so I never make it. But now we have three children, all of whom love bananas.

After church, we head to the store and I buy everything needed. I even have my 13 year old daughter help me. We go through the recipe step by step.

I decided to make a merengue topping like Trisha did.

It looks awesome!
Well it's tasty! I'm soo happy!

My two youngest children did not like it.

More for me and the teen!

My first post

Hello! My name is Amy and I'm a crafter. I'm a little bit good at a lot of things so I tend to jump from one project to the next. I like to quilt, knit, sew, paint, etc.

I'm also the mom of three great kids. A teenager, a preteen, and a toddler. They go in three different directions all the time so I certainly have my hands full.

My husband and I both work full time. He is a teacher and soccer coach and I work in a factory where we make car parts. Busy busy!

We attend church on a regular basis and are active with programs there too. We love our church family!

So that's a little bit about us!
